Waste of money
This was a complete waste of money. It doesn't cut the beard hair evenly and the length guide slips so that it will suddenly cut your beard down to nearly bald with no warning. The craftsmanship feels flimsy and on the shortest setting it scratches up the skin. The suction feature doesn't work well and you end up with hair everywhere to clean up. Please save your money and buy something that works!

Impressive !
Look and feel is very stylish and the blade technology is pretty impressive. Only thing I feel is that the construction is not as solid as it appears specially when you hold it. The door to the compartment where all the hair gets collected seems a bit fragile when applied some force to open which it needs to be opened. Ergonomics are pretty good on this one but it may take a while to get used to it if you have been using other brands. In general, I am quite happy with this equipment.

The only complain I have is from Amazon which dropped the price immediately after I bought it :( during thanksgiving. There should be a price protection for few days for consumer confidence.

autolock does not work
The other one star reviews are correct, the auto lock mechanism does not work. It slips down to the lowest setting making this effective only for a stubble look. Too bad, as the vacuum function worked pretty well.

Useless.
No good for a goatee.It won't fit under ones nose for mustache trimming. It's just to big and bulky. Might be good for shearing sheep. Don't be fooled by the money back guarantee, you still have to pay for shipping and insurance.

Rockin!
These are wonderful, and the price is right! You can feel the quiet power when your holding them, and they buzz right through hair. Very lightweight and small for easy, personal hair care. I am very happy with these, and it's no wonder many professionals use these in their barbershop. Perfect.
The only thing that you might want to buy to go with these are new attachment guide combs, as the ones it comes with tend to make the hair cutting much louder. I think it is because it hits the blade when the blade goes back and forth so invest a little bit of money into purchasing different guide combs, the best are Speed-O-Guide combs.

Razor
My husband is ALS and I used this razor to shave him yesterday. It was very difficult and it did not give a close shave. Not happy with product.

He had used it several times himself so didn't feel I could return it.

Here's a great product that's reasonably priced, durable, and made in the USA!

These clippers feel substantial in your hands and really cut through hair well. We use them for home use, so I'm not a hair stylist, but they do the job well, and again, they're made in the USA, so support American companies and buy these Oster clippers!

Worth the price
I use this to trim body hair. I've been through a few of the other cheap clippers and after having them always break down I decided to spend the extra bucks on this one. Worth every penny. I have a feeling this one will last a long time.

Purchased this shaver for my son. She said it works better than any he's had.

Great for a 'man-ape'
Bought this model when my older Emerson shaver (and an even older Wahl) were no longer "cutting it". Since I wear a close crop (high and tight - almost bald), I figured I would save some money and time cutting my hair doing it at home. I have done it on my own a few times but the wife does a better job using them on my head than I can.

I use the lowest blade guide available (green 1/4") and it is perfect. Blades are sharp and accurate. Also plan on using it for my whole body for summer, I can definitely be mistaken for a gorilla at times. So far I have been satified with this shaver. It comes with other guides and a comb, but I use the lowest setting and will use no attachment for my body (cuts extremely close to skin).

Overall a good value and saving time and money from visiting the barber is a side benefit too!

Not Very Good at Cutting Hair
I bought this based on the many positive reviews, but it's really not good, at least for my hair. I do have very thick hair, but should it really matter? I'm not a golden retriever. I used to own the Classic 76, which costs as much as some used cars, and when it stopped working I figured I wasn't in the mood to pay that kind of money again. I figured, any hair trimmer has to trim hair right? And I'm not a salon, so just pick up any random clippers and be done with it. The problem, of course, is that I've been spoiled with clippers that cut hair as quickly as you can run the blade over your head. I thought this was the norm, but I guess not. With these things, if you go too fast (and by too fast, I mean, "at a pace that will complete the job in under an hour") it will stop cutting your hair and instead just start yanking it out. Not exactly what I was expecting.

I've since bought myself the "Fast Feed" clippers, which are exactly what I remember from my Classic 76 clippers, but they only cost 10 or so bucks more than this product. Go for those instead.

"Like theys said..."
I basically agree with the other reviewers. These appear to be decent clippers. They are, however, big, heavy and noisy. They cut well, but need a little more encouragement than my clippers (you can't just run it over a unsupported few strands of hair and expect them to be clipped off). Finally at no setting will they get as close as my old ones.

With those caveats, they are reasonably good clippers that will probably last a long time.

Overall good product
I have no issues with this Haircut Kit. Cheap and reliable. The motor is not very loud and it cuts hair well on the first pass. Not the greatest cutter in the world but for the price its A+.

Heavy and vibrates a lot
It cuts hair just fine but this thing is heavy and vibrates quite a lot and as a result your arm will get tired after a couple of minutes of using it. The noise level is normal and not overly loud.

For someone like me who cuts hair once or twice a month this is acceptable but probably not for people who intend to use it often.

Great Clipper
I had a Vidal Sassoon Clipper which was plain painful to use, used to tangle my hair, wasn't sharp enough, used to make a mess and would take forever to cut hair. This Wahl is everything that Vidal Sassoon wasn't. I bought this after much research and almost to point of resigning myself to getting my hair cut by a stylist.

In short, the cutting surface is sharp and powerful, like the ones used in salons (I used to wonder how is it that the stylists clippers cut so effortlessly compared to mine) and in my case just 1 pass of this clipper was enough to cut it to the level I want. What used to take 1 hour to cut now takes only about 10 minutes, and I was able to do it on my own! It has many attachments and extras which may or may not useful but the clipper itself is a gem -- powerful and painless.

These clippers work very well. I am very please with the way they cut hair and how easy they are to handle. Nice.

Clipper set comes with a ton of attachments, but is way to loud. You can hear it from the outside. Not very good overall

clipper o.k. for home use... trimmer does not work
i am a professional stylist who does not work in a salon anymore - i bought this for family haircuts... the trimmer does not work... the clippers seem to work pretty well - the plastic guards are a bit flimsy and cheap - not very well made... i waited to long to do the first haircut with this and once i realized the trimmer did not work - it was to late to exchange this with amazon...

soooooo i would save the money and buy just the clippers if you need this for home use... if you are a pro - spend the money and buy something a bit nicer - that's what i'm going to do next time...

Perfect for a clueless mom of two boys
I've never cut hair in my life but I have two boys, aged 2 and 3. Taking them to get their hair cut is an ordeal, plus costs me a visit. I did some research and chose this pair of clippers thinking heck, it is worth a shot. Though I was nervous about making them look like cancer patients, it was easy and they look great. I just used the longest guard and went against the "grain" of the hair, like the Wahl website said. Actually, I think they look better than when I was paying someone else to do it with scissors. And the clipper set will have paid for itself the next time I cut their hair. Highly highly recommend. If you're wondering if you can do this at home--YES, you can. I couldn't be more pleased.
